SvampeBob Firkant is one of two Norwegian dubs of SpongeBob SquarePants. It has previously aired on NRK1 and Nickelodeon.
Broadcast history[]
SvampeBob Firkant began airing on Nickelodeon in Norway in December 1, 2001, when a Norwegian audio track was launched on its channel and aired a different dub with different voice actors and translations from the one currently used until 2005. A few years later, it began airing on NRK1 in 2003. Due to complaints about SpongeBob's noisy and annoying voice, NRK redubbed the entire show in 2005.
There is currently no trace of the 2001 dub online, making it a lost dub. However, the Norwegian dub of the 1st movie uses many of the voice actors from the 2001 dub.
